Overview of 254 mild cases of COVID-19 in Bangladeshi cohort: a cross-sectional observation

Background: The first recognition of a cluster COVID-19 patients in China late 2019, has become major concern due to its greater transmissibility and vulnerability the patient turn fever, cough, breathlessness, pneumonia then eventually severe acute respiratory distress syndrome requiring intensive care unit (ICU) support. But most affected get cured following mild symptoms very only few them hospitalized. objective study was observe demographic characteristics, clinical symptoms, comorbidities, biomarkers (hematological, inflammatory, hepatic, renal, metabolic) cases infected admitted hospital during peak four months pandemic.Methods: Age, sex, (Hb%, WBC, lymphocyte, neutrophil, platelet count, HCT(hematocrit), NLR(neutrophil-lymphocyte ratio, d-NLR derived neutrophil-lymphocyte PLR(platelet-lymphocyte-ratio), d-Dimer, ferritin, CRP(C-reactive protein), PT(prothrombin time), INR(international normalized ratio), SGPT, S.creatinine, HbA1C all rt-PCR positive were recorded this retrospective observational tertiary dedicated at Dhaka, Bangladesh done from 15th May 9th September, 2020. comorbidities compared by chi-square test one-way ANOVA. Results: Out 254 44 female 210 male with ratio 1:4.77. Average age 39.04. Largest population belongs 30-39 years range. Among anorexia (18.5%), fever (17.71%), anosmia (16.9%) prevalent among cases. However, diabetes mellitus (DM) hypertension (HTN) predominant comorbidities. Mostly significant groups Total neutrophil HCT, NLR, d-NLR, CRP, PT, creatinine, except lymphocyte PLR, INR. severity disease progression depends on co-morbidity hyper-responsiveness inflammatory or immunological predict.Conclusions: In predominance more group years. They suffered DM HTN common significant. Moreover, further large-scale studies are needed evaluate number their prognostic features develop modify treatment strategy public health awareness time time.
